Please Send A Word or Text Document

I got an order from a client from Germany this morning. He asked me to translate a technical document about a Volkswagen remote control, then after the payment made..he lend me a PDF file.

I am glad, there is Nitro to help me convert the file from PDF to Word.. but still, I would prefer a Word document or just Text Document.

That will help me a lot in my translation work. I bet, other translator will agree with me that translating from a PDF would be quite tedious. This is because, the page that contains image will be converted to an image. So we, an English Korean translator should retype anything that has been converted to image. That's not really nice, right?

I am not complaining for doing this, but just glad if I get a fully editable document that can easily edited.

This is because, I am a real human English Korean translator. Not using either robot or software.

Nitro Is The Best PDF Converter

As a freelance English Korean Translator, I deal with a lot of PDF file sent from my clients. Honestly, I really hope they will send me a Word document so then I don't have to convert the file from PDF to Word.

Yes, I am using Windows that why lah I need a Word document. We can't translate from PDF file because it is non editable.

What I will do when a client send a PDF document is, I will convert to Word document using Nitro.

FYI, Nitro is the best PDF converter I ever used. I have experience with some other converter but so far... I don't find other better converter.

Something I really love about Nitro, I don't have to install any program on my PC. Just upload the document to their website then download the Word document.

It's easy right?

And, it is free too.

No Machine Translators!

I visited a few translation marketplaces yesterday and I was surprised that many of translators worldwide using software, program or tools in their translation job!

Where is the real human translator in this world?

I definitely will not hire such robot translation services on the net. Go for real human translation services. Translations is an art, art of languages that can give a spirit for the reader. Not only a bored translated document.

Translatortown.com Review

Just today I found another marketplace for translators, proofreaders, interpreters and whatsoever. It is translatortown.com but I am not interested to link their site to my site.

I registered there today but nothing I can do as a free member. What I can only do is only prepare my profile as an English Korean translator. That's all.

I can't bid on any job because to do so, I have to upgrade myself to a Standard Member at USD69/year or Gold Member at USD99/year.

Maybe that's how they (the website owner) is making money - membership site. They also serve Google Adsense on their site haha

So I decided not to upgrade my membership there ;)

Real Time Telephone Translation

Have you ever heard about real time telephone translation? I am sure you are not.

You might be very familiar with Google Translate to translate a word, but when it comes to a sentences, Google Translate is useless. Everything turn upside down.

In Japan, announced today by its largest mobile operator that an application has been introduced.

The application for NTT DoCoMo subscribers will give two-way voice and text readouts of conversations between Japanese speakers and those talking in English, Chinese or Korean with a several-second delay, the firm said.

It sounds great right? But I am still prefer real human translation for a correct translations.
