Big Bad Wolf Sales!

Sometimes we did not found a book that we want during books expo? Do you know why?

Here it is.

One of the reasons you might be missing the books you want: by the end of Mission 63 (63 non stop books sales), over 100 thousand books were mis-placed! Big Bad Wolf Team worked hard overnight to get them back in place for the Sale, today, but please, citizens: if you don't want a book, put it back where you found it. Not on the floor or in a nearby toilet (phew!)

Who is that people with low class mentality?

Moreover, it is really cheap to have a translator at the moment. Cheap yet professional English Korean translator is available on the internet. Just go to Google then type your desired keywords will give you a full list of Korean translator.

Why it is cheap? Because many of English Korean translator now have their own business website. So you are dealing directly with the translator. No middle man!

Is Korean Product Is Good?

I found an advertisement while reading the latest issue of CLEO Magazine.

They proudly advertised KOREAN in thier campaign.

Too proud of KOREAN or what? Is Korean is a really high quality product? Or...what?? I really can't understand while Korean is highly exposed in their ads.

Normally Malaysian people will pay some more attention for American product, Japanese product for a high quality product.

Chinese or Taiwan is synonym with low quality and cheap product. But Korea? I don't think Malaysia market have thier own percepation about products from Korea except for their Gangnam style and KPOP.

Well..this is marketing. Maybe the marketer just want an attention from readers.

My Beef Stew

Well, I gave myself a nice treat today after finished doing a quite difficult translation job for a technical document (yah, English Korean translations). Finished a big bowl of Beef Stew and Fishball Soup without eating any rice.

That's pretty awesome! Full my belly like this is damn so great. I didn't eat the rice even my order was including the chicken rice. Oh yah, did I told you that this is a great menu from The Chicken Rice Shop? I ordered a set for three but only two people ate them all ;)

We added a regular size popiah also.

Heavy meal really makes me full till night.

Really satisfied except the bill is RM52 haha

Pusat Bahasa Titian Jaya KB

If you are in Kota Bharu right now, you might be surprise with a spam advertisement all around Kota Bharu which is done by this low class English tuition center, named Pusat Bahasa Titian Jaya KB.

Their advertisement is everywhere, you can see even in the public toilet door. Initially I want to upload their stupid advertisement but since there is their phone number number on that ads, I cancel my plan. But seriously, I really feel annoyed with their spam ads.
I hope the city council will start removing their ads before they put their ads on every face of people in Kota Bharu. I think they might do that soon, yes, attach their ads on your forehead!

This English tuition center which is currently operating in Kota Bharu is really desperate to get a student. That is why we can see their advertisement is everywhere. I could not found any other reputable English tutor in Kota Bharu do this kind of spam. Only that company really loves to stamp stamp stamp their ads everywhere.

A good teacher or tuition don't deserve stupid advertisement like that. A good one (for example this English tutor) will be recommended by someone else.

Please Send A Word or Text Document

I got an order from a client from Germany this morning. He asked me to translate a technical document about a Volkswagen remote control, then after the payment made..he lend me a PDF file.

I am glad, there is Nitro to help me convert the file from PDF to Word.. but still, I would prefer a Word document or just Text Document.

That will help me a lot in my translation work. I bet, other translator will agree with me that translating from a PDF would be quite tedious. This is because, the page that contains image will be converted to an image. So we, an English Korean translator should retype anything that has been converted to image. That's not really nice, right?

I am not complaining for doing this, but just glad if I get a fully editable document that can easily edited.

This is because, I am a real human English Korean translator. Not using either robot or software.

Different Word, Different Meaning

Please read the conversation below, it is funny but really interesting.

Do you know that, even though it is different words but actually the meaning it quite similar? But still, we have to use if properly.

Just like aeroplane and aircraft. Which one is correct to use and which situation to use that term.

Nitro Is The Best PDF Converter

As a freelance English Korean Translator, I deal with a lot of PDF file sent from my clients. Honestly, I really hope they will send me a Word document so then I don't have to convert the file from PDF to Word.

Yes, I am using Windows that why lah I need a Word document. We can't translate from PDF file because it is non editable.

What I will do when a client send a PDF document is, I will convert to Word document using Nitro.

FYI, Nitro is the best PDF converter I ever used. I have experience with some other converter but so far... I don't find other better converter.

Something I really love about Nitro, I don't have to install any program on my PC. Just upload the document to their website then download the Word document.

It's easy right?

And, it is free too.

Thanks Fishermen Friends

Gross cough today due to bad weather here.

I got cough, flu and fever too. But, guess what. I recover from cough really fast. Thanks for this great lozeng, Fisherman's Friend. I am glad it is worked great.

No Machine Translators!

I visited a few translation marketplaces yesterday and I was surprised that many of translators worldwide using software, program or tools in their translation job!

Where is the real human translator in this world?

I definitely will not hire such robot translation services on the net. Go for real human translation services. Translations is an art, art of languages that can give a spirit for the reader. Not only a bored translated document.

Bing Translator Is Better Than Google Translate

Today is the first day I tried Bing Translator for myself. Not because I wanna use it for my translation work, but just to test is it reliable translation robot or not.

Still, real human English Korean translator is far better than robot.

Anyway, here is a simple translation work performed at Google Translate and Bing Translator.

I wrote: 난 사용해

Google Translate result : I'm using
Bing Translator: I used

So.. see it? Both are differ in meaning. That's the reason why you need a real human translator who did not use machine or translation tools in their work.

Translatortown.com Review

Just today I found another marketplace for translators, proofreaders, interpreters and whatsoever. It is translatortown.com but I am not interested to link their site to my site.

I registered there today but nothing I can do as a free member. What I can only do is only prepare my profile as an English Korean translator. That's all.

I can't bid on any job because to do so, I have to upgrade myself to a Standard Member at USD69/year or Gold Member at USD99/year.

Maybe that's how they (the website owner) is making money - membership site. They also serve Google Adsense on their site haha

So I decided not to upgrade my membership there ;)

Korean Proofread Service on Fiverr

I have to admit its quite difficult to find a professional proofreader for Korean Language on internet, because most of them are hiding behind marketplace.

You may find a good proofreader for this language on many translation or interpreter marketplace, but not on their personal website. Don't they know how to create a website for themselves? Hehe

Anyway, here I wanna share a gig offering this service on Fiverr. This gig, the seller is giving you professional Korean proofread service at a really cheap rate. 500 words for only USD5, where else you can find this great deal?

Real Time Telephone Translation

Have you ever heard about real time telephone translation? I am sure you are not.

You might be very familiar with Google Translate to translate a word, but when it comes to a sentences, Google Translate is useless. Everything turn upside down.

In Japan, announced today by its largest mobile operator that an application has been introduced.

The application for NTT DoCoMo subscribers will give two-way voice and text readouts of conversations between Japanese speakers and those talking in English, Chinese or Korean with a several-second delay, the firm said.

It sounds great right? But I am still prefer real human translation for a correct translations.
